This single father is really the hero of the story. He doesn't let his parents even excuse their behavior, he just takes them out of the situation, which is exactly what he should be doing. They're not going to be a good influence on her, so it's better they're gone.

60-year-old grandparents laugh at 10-year-old granddaughter’s piano playing, her single dad kicks them out on the spot: “I’ll always stand up for my daughter”
Some people grow up with their grandparents at their hip, spending not only holidays together, but recreational time as well. They grow up with practically another set of parents to seek to for life advice, for fun, and for support. I feel so blessed that I have the grandparents I have. Not only is my grandfather the best cook you'll ever meet, but he also gives practical advice about finances and life situations I need help with. And my grandmother bakes the best cookies and banana bread you'll ever have. They're both sweet, generous, and supportive.
In the story below, I can't say these grandparents hold a candle even remotely near mine. Maybe the protagonist and his daughter would be better off without them, because they're a real piece of work. They make fun of her for playing the piano - talk about childhood trauma. It's one thing to be unsupportive, but this is downright mean. Read the full story below for all the juicy details.
